Lockets are one of my favorite types of necklaces for everyday wear; especially when there is a surprise enclosed inside. Missy Kulik of Shoppe Sugar Cookie made me the sweetest personalized locket (top image) with my an "E" for Erin and a cute, little fox -- quite on trend.
The locket is created from original miniature artwork which is drawn by hand and then added to the inside of the locket to make a charming necklace. The vintage locket is embossed with a beautiful design on both the front and back sides. Each piece Missy creates is a unique work of art and the finished lockets have a lovely antiqued look. There are a variety of locket shapes and illustrations offered in Missy's shop; all of which would make perfect gifts & stocking stuffers this holiday. Shoppe Sugar Cookie also features other items -- notepads, lasercut wood pieces, badges, buttons, plush, zines, and more.
You may remember that John and I included the Bunny Hugs Buttons, Whale Badges, Little Record Player Button, and more buttons as favors at our wedding in November of 2010. They were a huge hit and have been great keepsakes from such a memorable day.
I am lucky enough to work with and be inspired by Missy everyday; you may follow her creativity online and find yourself inspired as well:

If you are in Atlanta, Georgia this weekend, then be sure to visit Missy & her boyfriend, Raoul, in person at the Indie Craft Experience Holiday Shopping Spectacular which features the best indie crafters. The show is open from 11am-6pm on both Saturday and Sunday. Say hi to them at their booth (#2 -- it's right near the entrance & the ATM) and tell them that I sent you -- they are the sweetest and will help you pick out the perfect gifts for those on your list -- or for yourself.
